Marc Constantine, as vice president of the Advanced Launch System, has been selected as project director for the Space Transportation Propulsion Team, a consortium formed by Aerojet, Pratt and Whitney and Rocketdyne to develop the ALS space transportation engine.

Constantine joined Aerojet TechSystems in 1983 serving as vice president and general manager of the advanced systems division, advanced launch systems division and strategic development division.

Previous to his joining Aerojet, Constantine had 25 years of experience with the rocketdyne division, Rockwell International, in the research and development of advanced and prototype concepts for propulsion and flowing gas laser systems.

Constantine graduated from West Virginia University in 1958 with a BS in chemical engineering and received an executive business management program certificate from the University of Southern California in 1981. He has been a chairman or a member of various industry propulsion committees and panels, is currently serving on the board of directors for the California Engineering Foundation and is a member of NASA/OAET's Space Systems technical advisory committee.
