Kevin DiGregorio was raised in Richwood and earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from WVU. He conducted biomedical research for his graduate degrees, working with Eugene Cilento, and earned the Young Investigator Award from the Biomedical Engineering Society for his dissertation work.

During his undergraduate years, DiGregorio interned at Union Carbide Corporation. He joined UCC in 1988, working in the reaction engineering group. He was awarded the UCC Corporate Fellows Technology Award for his work on in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and enzyme catalysis. He later became a change coach and change leader at the Dow Chemical Technical Center in South Charleston. He also led university relations and recruiting efforts for UCC and Dow at WVU for many years.

In 2004, DiGregorio started IMPACT Professional Services, LLC, offering consulting and executive management services. He has facilitated a number of strategic plans, including Vision 2015: The West Virginia Science and Technology Strategic Plan. Through IMPACT, DiGregorio served as executive director of TechConnectWV and currently serves as executive director of the Chemical Alliance Zone, a nonprofit group dedicated to advancing the chemical industry across West Virginia.

He also is a WVU sports columnist (“From the Stands” in Blue and Gold News) and the co-owner of Church Revitalization Consulting, LLC, providing consulting and facilitation assistance to churches and faith-based organizations.

DiGregorio is a member of the West Virginia Governor’s Marcellus to Manufacturing Task Force and is a director on a number of boards, including MATRIC, the West Virginia Regional Technology Park and TechConnectWV. He also serves on advisory committees for the WVU Department of Chemical Engineering, West Virginia State University chemistry department, BridgeValley chemical operator training program and WVMA chemical industry committee among others.

He currently resides in Cross Lanes with his wife, Cheryl, and daughter, Annie, who is currently an honor student at WVU majoring in biochemistry.
